Dear First Grade Families,

Happy May!

It's hard to believe we are in the final month of school! We still have a lot of learning left to do, but we will soon be celebrating the accomplishments of our first graders.

Be on the look-out for important dates coming up. I will be updating you through my weekly emails.

Students are taking their End of Course exams in Special Areas the week of May 3-7.

Founders Day is Saturday, May 8 on the polo fields. Miss Currier and I are still looking for volunteers for our booth Lollipop Tree. There is a link to the sign ups in the emails. If you need the link again, please let me know. We also need some dum dum sized lollipops. PI time will be given for anything donated with a receipt.

The last day for the students to AR test this year is Friday, May 14. The goal for this quarter is five points.

I sent our last Scholastic order form home. Orders are due Friday, May 7.

Please make sure you are checking your child's binder daily and removing papers that are sent home.

First grade is a fun year. I am looking forward to a successful year! I believe that you and I are a team working together to help your child develop emotionally and academically. You are the most important person in your child’s life and you are also a teacher in your child’s life. I know if we work together and communicate, your child will have a very successful year!
