Hello! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I am currently starting my 20th year of teaching language arts. 19 of those have been here at East Prairie. I am lucky to be teaching in the school district that is responsible for helping me to become the teacher and person I am today. Yes, that means I am a true Tuscolian!
My husband and I are both TCHS graduates #alwaysawarrior. We have two children--Clayton who is a sophomore, and Mia who is an 8th grader. Chad and I are blessed to be able to raise our children in our hometown where they can experience growing up in a community that truly cares about their well-being. We are also owners of my family furniture store in town, Kelsey Furniture. #opensince1959
Here at East Prairie I teach 7th grade literature and composition. I am also a member of the MTSS (Multi-Tiered Support System) and PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) teams that meet once a month. I enjoy helping keep the stat books during basketball and volleyball seasons, which also provides me an opportunity to spend time building a good rapport with the students outside the classroom.
I look forward to teaching the love of reading and writing to all my 7th graders during the 2018-2019 school year.
