Welcome to Mrs. Brookins's Kindergarten!

Here is what is happening in Kindergarten this week!

September 17th-21st

Reading:

Letter for the week is S. Our words for the week are- the/and/can/see/I. We will bring home a word work activity to help us practice our words each week. Please practice reading these at home. The children will be tested on Friday. :)

Math:

Chapter 3 will take us on a journey with numbers to 10. We will be doing all kinds of number games and activities to help us with our number sense.

Science/Social Studies/Theme

We will continue to work with apples. Apple tasting, how apples grow, and all things apples will be our Science fun this week.

Technology

We are heading to the computer lab to work on logging on. This is a process that takes awhile. Once we have it mastered we will be working with activities that compliment our Kindergarten Curriculum.

Things to Remember:

Please turn in Tiger Trot money if you have not done so.

We will celebrate Granparent's Day September 28th. Grandparents are invited to join us for lunch on the back playground area. Bring and blanket and a sack lunch for you and your grandchild. If grandparents are not available, you are welcome to come eat with your child. I am also happy to be a fill in grandparent if needed! :) September 28th is also and early out. We will dismiss at 2:00 PM so that everyone has time to go and watch the Homecoming parade.

We have a 24 hour fever and vomit free policy. It is in the handbook found on the 301 website.

Remember to check the snack calendar for your day. Let me know if you are not able to make it. I will take care of it for you. This week readers are the Gimer family on Monday, The Lough family on Thursday and The Kistler family on Friday. :)

Have A Great Week!

Fondly,

Mrs. Brookins
