Day 13 - When it rains....it pours!

We have been blessed with beautiful weather this entire trip.......until today! We had planned to drive to the Hoh Rain Forest and hike a bit along the trails. However by the time we reached Lake Crescent (about a third of the way there) we ran into a torrential downpour accompanied by thunder. Rather than risk driving another hour or more through this kind of weather we decided to turn around and go back to our B & B for some relaxation. 

Speaking of our B & B, we thought this would be an opportune time to include some photos of the property. The 5 acres of grounds and gardens overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca are beautiful and meticulously kept. The weather conditions kept the marine fog over the water for most of our stay.
