Day 1 - (9/3/2024 Travel to Kittery, Maine)

After losing our precious Gracie in March of this year we decided it was time to get back on the road again. Our last visit in 2021 we traveled directly to mid-coast Maine on the highway. Even though we are staying north of there this year we decided to drive to southern Maine the first day to visit a couple of our favorite places along the southern coast. Just after crossing the NH border into Maine we headed to the Cape Neddick Lighthouse, aka Nubble Light for a gorgeous view from Sohier Park of the rocky Maine coast and Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse sits on a small, rocky island off the coast of York called the Cape Neddick Nubble. It claims to be one of the most painted and photographed lighthouses on the planet.
