Day 11 - 9/1/2018 - Anchorage
Today’s Weather: High 65, low 50, mostly sunny.
This morning we said our goodbyes to the folks at Bell in the Woods B&B and drove north on The Kenai Peninsula to the tiny village of Moose Pass. We wanted to find the water wheel and the United Methodist Church where our church, Immanuel UMC, sent a mission team to lead Vacation Bible School many years ago.

We stopped at Summit Lake Lodge and enjoyed a cup of coffee by the beautiful lake.

Today was a bright sunny day for the drive along the Turnagain Arm. We detoured off the Seward Highway to Flattop Mountain to the Anchorage overlook where we got the first glimpse of Denali!

We proceeded to Anchorage and parked on the top floor of a parking garage so we could view the mountains in the distance. We walked downtown to the Log Cabin Visitor Center where we took a trolley tour of the area. Our driver, Alice, was informative and entertaining when she described historical and present day aspects of life in Anchorage. We ended our day with pizza at the famous Moose’s Tooth Pub & Pizzeria.
