Abstract:Given that the criteria for questions have been greatly altered since the 28th National
Examination for Judo Therapists in 2019, it was necessary to conduct a comparative review of the content in national examinations written thus far, as well as the content included in the examination written under the new criteria for questions. In particular, for the field of related laws and regulations, the proportion of required questions pertaining to “insured medical treatment” and “related laws and regulations” has increased drastically, which made it important to analyze the trends in questions for the measures of future national examinations.
On examining the trends in questions for the field of related laws and regulations in the 18th to 27th national examinations, which were based on the old criteria for questions, as well as the 28th national examination, which was based on the new criteria for questions, it was found that for the 28th national examination, each question item, which was presented under major categories, saw an increase in the proportion of required questions on "1. patients’ rights," "2. medical malpractice and risk management," as well as "6. judo therapists and national medical expenses." Conversely, the proportion of questions related to "4. the Judo Therapists Act" and "5. related laws " decreased. These results suggest that as a measure for future national examinations, which will
be conducted under the new criteria for questions, examinees should be required to obtain extensive knowledge in the field of related laws and regulations by studying not only about the "4. the Judo Therapists Act" and "5. related laws" which will be presented in major categories under the new criteria for questions, but also matters such as patients’ rights, medical malpractice, risk management, insured medical treatment, and national medical expenses.
