Take a head shot similar to the two examples to the left using a phone or camera. Make sure the picture is focused and has good lighting. Make sure the picture does not have shadows on the face.

Use portrait orientation (taller than wide)

Keep the background one simple consistent color of your choice.

Try to fill the picture as shown, only showing from the shoulders up. We want all of the heads to be about the same size in the yearbook.
