This website contains materials for the Learning Assistant (LA) Pedagogy course based on research examining LA-supported courses. There are two modules:

1) Authoritative and Dialogic LA Facilitation Practices, and

2) Impact of Authoritative and Dialogic LA Facilitation on Student Learning.

Each module contains a summary of the relevant research study, example videos from that research, and questions to consider before and after watching the videos. The videos are from real LA-supported classroom interactions. The classroom questions that students and LAs were working on and a description of how to answer each question are provided for context. Note that you do not need to be an expert on the subject to understand what is occurring in the conversations between students and LAs.
