About Our Program

The Sleepy Hollow Music Department offers students a variety of courses and musical experiences throughout our Middle School and High School.  Our programs and ensembles have been recognized for their excellence locally and nationally through the NAMM Association.  We give students the opportunity for aesthetic experiences through music education. Our talented and dedicated staff members are committed to helping every student be able to create music independently with integrity outside the classroom.  Students with gain experience valuable and memorable experiences at Sleepy Hollow.  We are very proud to have over 30 percent of our music students involved in our programs.  We focus on the development of student aptitude and talent in music.  We also offer the opportunity to experience music from a cultural and historical perspective and to understand its role in the development of humankind.  All students of different levels are welcome to join our growing music program.

     The music department is very proud to announce that our students, Nina Lyppens, has been selected to participate in the NYSBDA festival.  Congratulations to her for an outstanding performance this past month!
