OUT OF STATE COLLEGES WITH REGIONAL TUITION RATES
Some universities in other states that border Illinois offer a reduced tuition rate for Illinois students, often called a regional or Midwest rate. This can help them avoid paying the full out-of-state tuition.

For the 2025-2026 Cost of Attendance at USI for an Indiana resident is $26,368, for a non-resident it is $39,209. The 9k discount depending on the number of credit hours students take bring your total within $3,000-$5,000 of an Indiana student.

An additional opportunity for Freshman year only is to visit campus by December 1 of senior year and subsequently enroll will be awarded a one-time $1,000 “Show-Me Missouri State Scholarship.” Students simply need to schedule a personalized visit or attend our Fall Showcase on October 25.
