5 Step Behavior Plan

It is first and foremost important for me to foster a safe and connected learning environment. In doing so we will incorporate pieces of Conscious Discipline into our classroom. Students will learn and understand the parts of their brain and how it is connected to learning and their emotions. The more we understand, the better we can control and learn from experiences. We will create a classroom agreement as a class where are focus is that we are respectful, we are responsible, and we are safe. First Offence:  Student is given a choice to be helpful. Reteach necessary skill.

Second Offence:  Choice to use the Calm Corner. Reteach necessary skill.

Third Offence: Problem Solving Meeting with Teacher. Logical consequence given. Reteach necessary skill.

Fourth Offence: Message or phone call to parents/guardians.

Fifth Offence: Office referral.

*Incidents that compromise the safety of your child or others could result in an immediate office referral.
