Hello! My name is Mrs. Camarena (pronounced comma-rain-uh). This will be my 5th year teaching 2nd grade at Klondike and my 6th year of teaching. I taught 4th grade for one year at Faith Christian School before coming to Klondike. I grew up in Monticello, IN and graduated from Frontier High School. I earned a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education with a Spanish minor at Grace College in Winona Lake, IN. I did my student teaching in 1st and 3rd grade classrooms. I have an older sister and brother who are also teachers. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, putting together jigsaw puzzles, reading, biking, going for walks, being in nature, riding Cushman scooters, painting my nails, and going bargain shopping! I love the color purple, turtles, smoothies, and Christmas! I got married mid-school year two Decembers ago so if you hear or see the name Miss Davis still lingering around somewhere, that's me. :)
I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and having your child in my class! I consider it an honor and privilege to be your child’s teacher. It is not something that I take lightly. It is my desire to help your child learn and succeed as well as develop good character traits. I strive to make my classroom a safe, comfortable, and fun place to learn and grow in all areas. Some of my classroom values are kindness, respectfulness, selflessness, and engagement in learning. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 765-463-5505 ext. 1650. I want to partner with you and work together to do what’s best for your child this school year! I care about the person your child is and the person he/she will become!
