With Mrs. Goff
I look forward to serving the students at Burnett Creek and Woodland Elementary this year as we "Explore the Musical Arts" together! Music is a powerful way to introduce young students to the importance of being a creative artisan! Through our weekly lessons together, we will explore beat, rhythm, melody, timbre and other elements of music that enable us to being musically minded and creative and cooperative in our endeavors! I look forward to meeting you!
Please stop by and see me sometime!
Many families are looking for ways for their children to find their musical expression beyond the wonderful opportunities that we share in the music classroom.
I have had students taking tap lessons, drum lessons, piano lessons, voice lessons, guitar lessons, ballet.....you name it!!!
Please see below several links of ways that enhance your child's creative abilities whether they be singing, playing or dancing!!!
1. Lafayette Master Chorale: http://lafayettemasterchorale.org/
a. This is an organization that fosters children through adult singing. When you open the link look for the Lafayette Children's Choir tab (under Meet our Choruses) and find out more about auditions for your child. Scholarships and partial waivers are available for monetary assistance. I sing in the Adult Chorale and also serve as Artistic Administrator of the ensemble.
2. Piano Teachers Network: http://www.tippmta.org/teacher.html
a. This is an organization that provides a listing of area professionals who are engaged in teaching private piano lessons to students. You may look through the list and contact a teacher to see if they are accepting new students. It is common to be placed upon a waiting list. Therefore, if you find someone that interests you, I highly recommend being on their waiting list.
3. Tap and other forms of Dancing: http://www.tpaperformance.com/
a. This organization does an excellent job of teaching tap lessons and baton. I have two students who are really enjoying their experience.
