About Me

Hello! My name is Miss Fredenburg and I teach Kindergarten at Wea Ridge Elementary School.

I grew up in Orange County, California where I discovered my love for teaching through working with younger students in community service projects through Girl Scouts, ultimately earning my Gold Award.

In 2013, I committed to Purdue. I graduated from Purdue University in May 2017 and am pursuing further education at Purdue in Educational Psychology so that I can provide the best education for all my students. In May 2018, I participated in a Severe Storms Prediction course at Purdue and was able to chase storms through the Central Plains! This has ignited my love for weather, and I am actively increasing my knowledge of weather prediction through online courses.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing, reading, photography, and completing art projects.

I student taught at Wea Ridge Elementary School in Kindergarten in 2017 and completed teaching 1st grade during the 2017-2018 school year at Wea Ridge. This 2018-2019 school year will be my second year teaching.

I am so excited to work with your students this year! We're going to have so much fun learning and growing together in a safe, healthy classroom environment. It is my goal for your students to develop an appreciation and a love for learning that will help them acquire skills they need to accomplish their dreams. I will be fostering a classroom that encourages discovery and curiosity by understanding different career paths and how their role as a student helps them achieve those dreams. If there is anything I can do to help or if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at kafredenburg@tsc.k12.in.us.

"Oh the places we will go" this year in Miss Fredenburg's Class!
