A little about me…

This will be my 20th year teaching with the last eleven being at Cole.  I have been blessed to teach in two districts, the TSC and Lebanon School Corporation.  I am excited to be teaching first grade! My husband, two boys, my daughter and I live in Lafayette. We recently added a mini Bernedoodle, Bogey, to our family. I cannot wait to share stories about my family with the students  this year! 

The beach is my favorite place and my family travels when we get the chance. I enjoy various activities outdoors such as riding bikes, pickleball, playing with my children, camping, campfires, Purdue games, swimming, and many others. I also LOVE to shop and spend time with friends. My favorite foods/snacks are Mexican foods, salads, ice cream, and cookies. I do enjoy S'MORES while camping, especially ones made with cookies. 

I am looking forward to a great year where we can learn things together. My teaching philosophy is simple. I want children to want to enjoy coming to school to learn and begin their journey to being a lifelong learner. I try my best to make lessons engaging and fun. In Camp CARE, we try hard to always do the right thing, and treat people right.
