Hello! My name is Julie Mayfield, and I am thrilled to be a member of Klondike's amazing 3rd grade team!

I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University in 2007. After graduation, my husband Joey and I moved to Northwest Indiana. I taught fifth grade for five years in the Lake Central School Corporation. When my son Isaiah was born, I made the decision to resign from teaching. After spending ten years at home raising my children, I returned to a career that I truly love! As an added bonus, my son Isaiah and daughter Maddie are both Klondike Nuggets!

In our spare time, my family and I love being outside biking, hiking, camping, playing disc golf, and birdwatching. We really like to travel and explore new places. My most recent trips were to Iceland, England, and Niagara Falls! One of our favorite family travel destinations is Marco Island, Florida. 

I am an avid sports fan. Growing up, I played volleyball, basketball, and softball. My favorite teams are the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, and all Purdue teams! Boiler Up!
