During the 2022/2023 school year, Mr. Roberson will establish a Tennessee School for the Blind Youth-in-Government Team. The team will compete through the YMCA Center for Civic Engagement's Model United Nations (fall semester) and Youth Legislature (spring semester) programs.

The YMCA Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is a statewide leadership development and civics program designed to allow students ages 11 to 19 (middle and high school) to experience the processes of government in a hands-on way. Each year, CCE programs reach almost 7,000 middle and high school students across the state of Tennessee.

The TSB Youth-in-Government Team is open to Middle School students only (grades 6th, 7th, or 8th) and will be limited to a total of two to six students each year.
