TCHS collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Warren and Trumbull County to educate diverse regional communities about the people and events that have shaped its rich history.
To meet this mission, we operate the Morgan History Center, an exhibit and research facility, as well as provide tours of the historic c.1807 John Stark Edwards House, to tell the varied and inspiring stories of past and present Trumbull County residents. We preserve a collection of over 30,000 historic artifacts and manage a variety of programs and activities. Voices of Trumbull County, launched in 2020, is an oral history program focused on elders within Warren’s Black community (www.voicesoftc.org). Warren Razed (www.warrenrazed.org), launched in 2021, brings to life images of buildings that no longer exist to ensure they are accessible and transparent to the public through an online interactive map.
We conduct countywide field trips and bus tours, offer in-school classes based on Ohio’s Social Studies curriculum standards, and lead a series of walking tours and events throughout the year, including Oktoberfest, Ghost Walk, and Hometown Holidays.
The Morgan History Center has a paved parking lot and ramp for entry. The exhibits and gift shop are on the first floor. Archives, offices, and research room are only accessibly by stairs.
The John Stark Edwards House has limited paved parking on site with additional parking at the Warren Trumbull County Library across the street. The first floor of the building is accessible by ramp through the back. The second floor is accessible only by stairs.
