In 2019, the Boy Scouts of America transformed to Scouts BSA and launched a new program called Family Scouting that offers girls the same awesome Scouting opportunities that boys have had for decades.
Boulder’s Troop 78 is now forming a girl patrol that will make our troop’s unique Scouting method available to girls for the first time.
We have adult leaders and we are now recruiting girls aged 10-17 (5th-12th grade) who are interested in joining our adventure-oriented troop.
This new, all-girls patrol will launch with support from Troop 78’s proven 50-year program and today’s active adult volunteer culture. That means the new patrol will be girl-led and adult-enabled while it spends more time outside than indoors. Troop 78 will mentor this new troop with its unique Scouting method:
- Troop 78’s On to First Class program
- Scouting’s patrol method
- Our unique Stairstep to Adventure
- Support from Troop 78 volunteers
Do you know girls and adults interested in camping and the outdoors? Please get in touch with our recruiting volunteers John Salvadore and Maria Kuntz. See more on our Visit/Join page.
