Severe Allergies
If your child has a severe allergy or food allergy, please notify the school nurse with a detailed description of the allergy and symptoms of reaction.
Plan for students with life threatening food allergies:
The plan is to be completed and signed by the PCP or allergist and signed by the parent/guardian.
The plan is kept in the Medication Book in the Health Office and shared with teachers and staff.
Teachers will be notified of any students with life threatening food allergies within their class.
Teachers will share this information with substitute teachers in their sub folder.
Facts:
Our Tri Town School cafeterias do not serve peanuts or peanut products.
A peanut/nut-free table is available during lunch for those with peanut/tree nut allergens.
Any peanut/nut products sent in with students will be saved to eat during lunch time and not in the classroom of an allergic student.
Wipes and hand washing stations are available in the cafeteria.
While we make our best attempts to provide a safe school setting and to minimize risk, we cannot guarantee a peanut-free environment at all times. Therefore, our ultimate goal is to educate everyone and have each child be as self-sufficient as possible.
Please Complete these forms if your child has a Severe Allergy and will be keeping allergy medication at school.
