Digital and Analogue Clocks
Digital clocks work by transforming electrical signals and electrical power into a readable time display. The internal clock of the device is powered by a battery, and an oscillator generates a series of electrical pulses that are used to keep time. The power of the battery also displays the time kept by the electrical pulses on a screen.
Most modern analogue clocks use quartz to keep time. When quartz receives a large enough amount of energy from the battery of the mechanism, the quartz vibrates. This is what causes the hands to move and make the "tick-tock" noise.
Similarities:
Both modern versions of the clocks use batteries or electricity to power them.
Both keep the time very accurately
Differences:
Digital clocks display the time with a display screen
Analogue clocks display the time with hands
Digital clocks use an oscillator that generates electric pulses to keep the time
Analogue clocks use quartz to keep the time correctÂ
