GCSE Maths Revision

This page is a guide for all students preparing for their GCSE Maths exams.

The following notes will help students even as they start their revision;

  • You should complete almost all past papers, and use the mark scheme to mark them. You should learn from your mistakes, and repeat the process over and over again.
  • You should do the practice papers repeatedly to see your improvement.
  • You should keep a record of each attempt at a paper, and there is a template for this under the Checklist area.

Working Independently outside the classroom

  • Whilst lesson time will be spent on completing past papers, it is vital that you complete past papers and other forms of revision outside of lessons.
  • In these situations you don’t rely on the support from friends and teachers that you have during lesson times, and must rely on your own understanding and skills.
  • Whilst some lesson time will be used for completing past papers, we know that students who revise outside of lessons do better in their exams.

Revision guides, text books, work books, etc.

You may have these at home. Dig them out and use them. Make notes on them, write in them, use them to suit you.
