Full Name: Gabrielle Blanchard
Nickname: Gabby
Parents: Ann & Trevor
Siblings: Logan (22), Luke (20)
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire my parents' sarcasm. They have always tried to teach me the beauty of laughter and how important it is to laugh at yourself and I am proud to say I laugh at myself a lot, so thanks, Mom and Dad. I also admire how loving my parents are and how even though they might stumble and fall, they always try their best to love my siblings and me as much as they can and to do as much for us as they can. I admire my brother Logan's confidence, from his very off-pitch but gung-ho singing to his courage to try new things. I admire my brother Luke's individuality and how even when faced with adversity, he stands by what he believes to be right and never lets his morals waver.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: A pro soccer player who had her own cake and cookie baking business.
Future Plans: I plan on attending either the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, the University of California, Davis, or the University of California, Berkeley. I plan on majoring in either environmental science or environmental toxicology.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I see myself with a job I love, working both outdoors and in the lab, in an awesome apartment, with an absolutely, painfully, adorable dog and surrounded by people I love.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: Playing Gimkit in 9th-grade English class and having so much fun with my friend Clare as we completely schooled all our other classmates, especially the guys and barely containing our laughter as they tried to figure out who was kicking their butts.
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? Jr. Optimists Club, Choir, Mixed Jazz Choir, Women's Jazz Choir, National Honor Society, Individual Speech, Large Group Speech, Girls Varsity Soccer, Club Soccer, High School Musical, and High School Theater.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? Sitting on the couch watching a new TV show, playing outside with my dog, baking something, reading, or all of the above. :)
What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? Favorite Food: Seafood (snow crab, sushi, tilapia, etc); Favorite Movies: Flipped, How to Train Your Dragon, While You Were Sleeping, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and WAY too many others; Favorite Book: Out of Darkness (the book not the movie!); Favorite Music Artist: Olivia Rodrigo; Favorite Activity: Lounging; Favorite Plant: Sweet Basil or Rosemary; Favorite Drink: It changes, but is currently pineapple juice.
What will you miss the most about THS? The teachers and doing activities with my friends.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Time is the greatest gift you can receive, so use it well.
