Full Name: Fuschia Naomi Hope Johnson
Parents: Ken & Rachelle
Siblings: Azalia (11th grade), Judah (9th grade), Lily (5th grade)
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: What I admire about my dad is that he has always pushed me to try my best in everything I do. He has taught me many life skills like, how to fix my car, how to save money, and how to speak Japanese. What I admire about my mom is her heart of service, she works in foster care and has brought me up with a lifestyle of volunteering. It's because of her, I have gone on many mission trips to several countries and have a heart for kids with special needs.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: I wanted to be a Marine Biologist or join the Air Force.
Future Plans: While at Treynor, I have been attending Iowa Western Community College for the last two years. This May, I will graduate with my associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I plan to continue studying at University of Nebraska Omaha, to get my bachelors degree in Elementary Special Education. I am also planning to attend the University of the Nations in Kona Hawaii, where I will be studying Missions and International Studies. Part of the course is serving several months overseas.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I hope to have finished my degrees and be working as a Special Ed teacher with children with special needs. I hope my passport is filled from traveling around the world. I also hope to be married with children of my own or adopted. I also hope to return to my second home in Japan, and teach English for a season.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: This is where I fell in love with cheerleading. I started in 8th grade and was able to cheer all four years of high school. Some of my favorite memories were Friday Night Football games!
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? While at Treynor I competed in Track and Field, Cheer, Golf, Volleyball, Choir, and Theater.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? If I had a day off, which is rare these days, I would be cooking Japanese food, hanging out with my friends, or volunteering in the community.
What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? My favorite food is Tonkatsu and Gyoza. My go-to drink is a brown sugar shaken espresso with lavender cold foam or a matcha. Two of my favorite movies are Fast and Furious and My Neighbor Totoro.
What will you miss the most about THS? The teachers, coaches, and very supportive community!
What advice would you give underclassmen? High School goes by so fast, so try every sport and activity that sounds fun, so you leave with no regrets! Don't try to fit in when you were made to stand out!
