Full Name: Mackenzie
Nickname: Kenzie
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: My mom never gives up during our hardest moments; she works hard to provide for us. My sister is giving and helps me out when I ask for it, and she has a good sense of humor. My brother always brings joy to the room he's in, and he's always observant.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: When I was young, I envisioned myself to be a horse trainer, or doing something related to horses.
Future Plans: My future plans will be to major in equine management and equine science.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I think in 10 years I will be working with horses, living in the country, and possibly have a family of my own.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: My most memorable moments from Treynor are in the Cinderella Musical, One-Act, and the Around the World in 80 Days spring play. Overall, I loved being in the choir. That's how I made most of my friends at Treynor, and I felt like I was accepted there.
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? I was involved in choir, women's jazz choir, One-Act, Cinderella Musical, and the Around the World in 80 Days spring play.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? Hands down, hanging out with horses and riding them, or maybe hanging out with friends.
What are some of your favorites (e.g. food, movies, books)? I love listening and singing to country music, but also alternative/indie, rock and pop, along with intense classical music. I love reading murder mystery books and fantasy books. I love watching romcom movies, and my favorite TV shows are Burn Notice and Psych. I enjoy drawing, although sometimes the outcome isn't what I was expecting. I enjoy working outside like mowing the lawn, cutting down voluntary trees, walking the lawn, and riding horses.
What will you miss the most about THS? I will miss being in choir with my friends, because there are usually funny moments that make my day and make me laugh.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Do something new that you think you would never do, because you might end up loving it. I never thought I would be in a musical/play because I "thought" I had stage fright, but I totally ended up loving it. Same with One-Act. I never thought I would do something remotely close to that, but I had so much fun and made lots of memories. I never once regretted doing those activities.
