Full Name: Kallie Layne Danker
Parents: Shad & Julie Danker
Siblings: Ryan Danker (22)
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire how strong my brother's faith is. He inspires me each and everyday (without realizing) to keep walking in my own faith.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: A teacher.
Future Plans: I plan to attend Iowa State and study Graphic Design.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I see myself with a family of my own and working at my dream job designing book covers at a publishing company and maybe even writing my own books.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: The iconic moment in Grease when I was playing Marty and pulled out her "boyfriend wallet," letting all the photos drop to the floor. I will never forget the audience's laughter at that moment and how I had to keep myself from laughing with them.
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? I was involved in choir, band, musicals and plays, jazz choir, large group and individual speech, golf, football cheer, and wrestling cheer.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? Reading
What are some of your favorites (e.g. food, movies, books)?
My favorite food is chocolate. My favorite movie is To All The Boys I've Loved Before. My favorite book is Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson. My favorite song is Where Can I Go - Psalm 139 by Ellie Holcomb.
What will you miss the most about THS? I will miss all the activities I participated in and all the people involved in them.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Get involved in as many activities that interest you as you can, but don't be afraid to step away from those same things when you don't enjoy them anymore. If your only reason to stay in an activity is that you don't want to disappoint anyone, you are doing it out of obligation and that is the biggest sign that it's time to walk away.
