Maili  MCKern

Full Name: Maili Ann McKern

Parents: Grady and Stacie

Siblings: Maddux (7th grade),  Murphy (7th grade)

Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire my parent's work ethic and their outlook on life. I specifically admire my mom in how she always is caring and helping others and my dad for always wanting the best for everyone. As for my brothers, I admire their ability to find humor in life and how they don't stress about all the little things.

When I was young, I envisioned myself to be:  A doctor.

Future Plans: I will be attending Iowa State University in the fall with an undecided major. I am currently leaning towards majoring in marketing.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In ten years I hope to have a good career, be married, and have kids. I also want to be able to travel.

What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: My most memorable moments at Treynor were making it to state in soccer my freshman year and all of the softball seasons I've been a part of.

What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? During high school I was involved in volleyball, softball, soccer, JOI Club, and NHS.

If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I would most likely be sleeping, watching Netflix, hanging out with friends and family, or going to get food and Starbucks.

What are some of your favorites (e.g. food, movies, books)? My favorite food is sushi, my favorite book is "It Ends with Us",  and my favorite TV shows are Grey's Anatomy, Suits, and The Summer I Turned Pretty.

What will you miss the most about THS? I think I will miss the small town environment where everyone knows everyone and how we all as a community support each other. I will also miss my friends and the teachers I met here.

What advice would you give underclassmen? My advice to underclassmen is to work hard, not stress about the little things, and to get involved. Most importantly, enjoy the short time you have here and make as many memories as you can.
