Full Name: Abhinanda Nolan Bista
Nickname: Abhi
Parent: Manda
Siblings: Rissa (7th grade)
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire my mom's cooking and baking ability, plus her dedication to helping, supporting, and generating a good time with those who are close to her and all of the hard work that goes into that. I admire my sister's dedication to perfection and her undying passion for the things she loves. I also admire their uniqueness, mostly how they are unapologetically themselves!
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: A professional bowler, a rock star, a geologist... the list goes on.
Future Plans: Right now I am going to attend Iowa Western and pursue an associate's degree in psychology, then transfer to another school to get my master's degree and eventually become a therapist. But, I like the idea of going wherever the wind takes me!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In a mirror, picture, or puddle on a rainy day? But seriously, hopefully loving whatever I do and whoever I am around and putting a positive influence into the world.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: I can't just pick one; Musicals, Speech, Color Guard, Quiz Bowl, Debate, and Jazz Choir competitions. Even just spending everyday surrounded by people I can look up to and laugh with has given me so many friends and memories that I will cherish for as long as I can!
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? Large Group and Individual Speech, Quiz Bowl, Color Guard, Choir, Jazz Choir, Musicals, and Debate.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I'd watch a few movies, go out on the town for some shenanigans with friends, spend some time with family, and whatever spur of the moment adventure I can think of!
What are some of your favorites (e.g. food, movies, books)? Food - Seafood in general; Top 5 movies - The Truman Show, Memento, Django Unchained, La La Land, and The Muppet Movie; TV Show - BoJack Horseman; Book - The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde; Song - Get Up Offa That Thing by James Brown.
What will you miss the most about THS? The amazing staff, spending every day with my friends, and all those extracurricular activities.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Spend your time making memories with the people around you, they are the most valuable things that you can ask for. An experience that is your own with people that you care for is priceless and will stick with you. Most of all do what fulfills you and others, make every moment of your life enjoyable!
