Full Name: Quentin Troy James
Nicknames: My friends call me Q-Baby and I don't know why, but they do.
Parents: Jason & Shari James
Siblings: Wyatt (College Sophomore) & Irelynn (10th)
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire how ambitious and resilient my parents and siblings can be, and it only inspires me to be more like them in the future.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: When I was a mere child I always wanted to be a train engineer, because I was obsessed with the show "Thomas and Friends". And in middle school I really enjoyed the idea of space and what is beyond our world, so I really wanted to become an Astronomer and study the stars.
Future Plans: After High School I plan on joining an electrical Union and start my apprenticeship program, and then later go off on my own and start up my own electrical business.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years I see my self running my own company as an electrician here in southwest Iowa.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: Some of the best moments were just being with my friends doing irresponsible things and trying not to get into too much trouble.
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? Freshman year I did soccer, and throughout the rest of high school I did golf, even though I never got any good at it. It still was fun and some of my favorite memories of high school took place on the golf course.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I would be out doing stuff with my friends, and trying to stay out of trouble, maybe.
What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? Favorite book: Fahrenheit 451; Movie: Happy Gilmore; Food: A good ol' porterhouse.
What will you miss the most about THS? Probably seeing all of my friends everyday.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Find the biggest guy and fight him to gain respect among the other students, just kidding. Do as I say and not as I do. Stay out of trouble, do your work, and just try to have the time of your lives while you can, because by the end of your senior year you'll look back and reminisce about all of the good times you had.
