Future Plans: I plan on attending the University of Iowa and double majoring in Political Science and Communication Studies on a pre-law track with hopes of pursuing a career in law or politics.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years, I see myself living somewhat far from here, starting my family and having an amazing career and house that I love.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: The most memorable moment from my years at Treynor would have to be running on the blue oval at the State Track Meet my junior year and getting 4th in the 4x800. This was the coolest experience of my high school career and I will forever remember that week we spent up in Des Moines.
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? Throughout my high school years, I have been involved in Football, Baseball, Track, Basketball, Band, Jazz Band, the Musical, Large Group Speech, Individual Speech, JOI Club, National Honor Society, GSA, Yearbook, Quiz Bowl, MVP Mentoring Program, KKAD25 Committee, and Student Council.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I would most likely be getting brunch with my friends, going thrifting/shopping, working out, watching reality TV, napping, and hanging at home.
What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? Favorite Artist: Ariana Grande; Favorite Books: The 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' Series; Favorite Shows: The Office and Big Brother; Favorite Movies: Knives Out and The Perks of Being a Wallflower; Favorite Food: Orange Chicken.
What will you miss the most about THS? I will miss the people more than anything. My teachers and fellow students are the people who shaped me into the person I am today, and I have grown up surrounded by these people for the last 13 years. I'm gonna miss the little interactions, conversations, and friendships like crazy.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Be yourself, do what you love, and live in the moment. Other people's opinions about you do not matter in the slightest so be your true, authentic self because people are more consumed by their own lives anyway. Find what's fun and what you're passionate about and get involved! There are so many amazing things to do here at Treynor, and you'll end up meeting the best people ever. Lastly, don't forget to enjoy your high school years and be present with the people you're with because all of a sudden you're a senior and you're stuck wondering where the time went.
