Full Name: Norah Beekhuizen
Parents: Heather & Paul
Siblings: Kyle (15)
Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire that my family supports me no matter what I choose to do with my life, and I know they will be there for me no matter what.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: A teacher or an author.
Future Plans: I plan to go to college for at least 4 years - I don't know for sure where yet.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Hopefully I will have a good job and I will be settled down with a family.
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: My most memorable moment is probably all of the times any sport was able to make it to state, because the feeling of knowing we are one of the best in the state at something is so cool. Being able to experience that with my friends was a great experience!
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? I am involved in JOI Club, NHS, Debate, Large Group Speech, Band, FCA, MVP Mentor Program, and KKAD25.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I would probably sleep in late and then spend time with either my family or friends watching movies and eating lots of snacks.
What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? My favorite movie is The Parent Trap, my favorite food is Orange Chicken, and my favorite book series is the Harry Potter series. My favorite color is purple and my favorite animal is an otter.
What will you miss the most about THS? I will miss the friendships I have made and the relationships with both peers and mentors that I've met along the way.
What advice would you give underclassmen? Get involved, but don't stress yourself out. If you don't enjoy an activity, don't do it! It's not worth it to stress yourself out over something you don't even like to do. It's possible to prioritize mental health while still participating in different activities!
