Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire how hard my parents work to be able to support my brother and I. They always push us to do our best and they are always there for us when we need them.
When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: An elementary teacher.
Future Plans: My future plans are to go to NWMSU and major in early childhood education.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years I see myself working as a teacher, starting a family and going on lots of vacations!
What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: Some of my most memorable moments during high school were during marching band seasons. The early mornings, the football games, summer lessons, and of course the bus rides. All in one day we competed at Glenwood in the morning and then drove to Ankeny and competed there. It was a lot of fun to do the show twice and spend all day together. Our freshman year show was Gypsy Caravan and in the middle of the show we all pulled out tambourines and the crowd went crazy. That was my favorite show out of all 4 years!
What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? I was involved in NHS, MVP, soccer, concert band, pep band, marching band, JOI, Silver Keg Feeders 4H club, SPY youth group and CREW youth group.
If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? If I have a day without commitments, I will probably be spending the day with my family or friends just hanging out and having fun.
What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? My favorite food is steak and potatoes! My favorite hobby is photography! My favorite animals are cows! My favorite season is summer!
What will you miss the most about THS? Having gone to Treynor since kindergarten, I think the biggest thing that I will miss most about Treynor is the community support and involvement in every way. They are not only supportive of the athletics but also community groups and helping with service projects. Also helping to raise money to buy new marching band uniforms! It is so great to know that there are so many people willing to help you succeed in any way.
What advice would you give underclassmen? "You are only going to be as good as the people you surround yourself with so be brave enough to let go of those who keep weighing you down."
