The Great Georgia Pollinator Census is a community science initiative coordinated by the University of Georgia’s Center for Urban Agriculture. The program educates the community on the importance of pollinators and other beneficial insects, and assists gardeners in growing sustainable pollinator habitats. Counting for the census occurs two days in August each year. The project generates data useful for tracking pollinator populations while fostering excitement about pollinators.
