Climate Stewardship

The Climate Reality Project Atlanta Chapter emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the regional community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Formed in October 2018, our chapter was founded by only the ten members who realized that Atlanta was one of the few major cities in the US, particularly in the Southeast, without a Climate Reality Project chapter. Within a few short months the Atlanta chapter more than tripled in size, and currently has over 400 members enrolled. Its mission is to create a network of goal-minded individuals who will take tangible action to increase social awareness and concern around the causes and effects of climate change. The Climate Reality Project promotes an interdisciplinary unity between science, development, equity, and sustainability and exists to slow and halt the rapid warming that has endangered our homes through non-partisan, financially prudent, and scientifically grounded actions that address both daily lifestyles and state and federal actions.
