WHO WE ARE: Trace Branch Mining, LLC is a provider and producer of high quality Steam Coal and Pulverized Coal for Injection. Steam Coal is also known as "Thermal Coal," and is used for power generation and electricity. Pulverized Coal for Injection is also known as "PCI Coal," and is pulverized and injected into a blast furnace to supply heat in the steelmaking industry, thereby decreasing emissions and energy usage. Our company mines and sells Thermal and PCI Coal from mines located in southeastern Kentucky, utilizing contour and highwall mining methods.  

WHERE WE ARE: Our coal holdings are located in the west-central area of the Central Appalachian Coal Field in the eastern United States. The properties have leaseholds totaling approximately 5,290 acres that are located in Clay and Leslie Counties, Kentucky.
