Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States. It occurs on the fourth Thursday in November each year. Thanksgiving is a time to remember one’s blessings and what one is thankful for.

Thanksgiving dates back to 1621 when the Wampanoag and Plymouth colonists shared in an autumn harvest feast. This celebration was organized by Governor William Bradford as a way to celebrate the Pilgrim’s first successful harvest of corn, The organized celebration is considered the first Thanksgiving.
