Independence Day

Independence Day is celebrated each July 4th. This day marks the signing of The Declaration of Independence. This document announced the separation of the 13 colonies from Great Britain. The signing marks the last in a series of steps that led to the colonies separating from British rule.

The Fourth of July is celebrated around the United States. Celebrations included picnics, parades, festivals, and other activities. The day often concludes with fireworks and this is by fire one of the most popular ways to acknowledge the day.
