Year 3 have had another action packed week, filled with lots of learning and investigations.

The focus in maths lesson has been 2-D shapes, where the students have been finding lines of symmetry and creatively designing their own shapes to challenge others with. We have also looked at position and movement, and giving instructions when moving between different points.

In English we have continued looking at traditional stories, and each student researched a story from their own culture, which they re-told to the class. They then used a grid and started to plan how to re-write the story to re-tell it in their own words.

During ICT we looked at different ways to communicate, including sending emails with attachments.

In Science we completed our seed germination experiment, by recording our findings and writing a conclusion. It was great to see how enthusiastic everyone was during the investigation and their understanding on how to make a fair test.

Have a great weekend and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
