Year Six Weekly Update

Monday Oct 2nd - Friday Oct 6th

Review (This week) 

English : We have finished the story of the Firework Maker's Daughter and it was very interesting.   

Maths :  We have been looking at how to calculate the volume of a 3D shape and the different types of triangles. 

Science : We talked about how important it is to eat healthy. We also created our own healthy snacks. 

Other : We made a leaflet all about different rituals during the Shang Dynasty.

Preview (Next week) 

English :   We will begin planning our own adventure story set in a different country. 

Maths :  We are going to be measuring and constructing different angles using a protractor. 

Science : We are going to look at our bones, muscles and skin.   

Other : We are going to create props for our class assembly on Friday 20th October.

Homework : English and Maths every Friday. Reading every day. Thai writing. Learn their Romeo and Juliet parts.

Notices: Class assembly has changed to the 10th November.

We now know how to work out the volume of a cube or cuboid.

Here we are measuring and categorising triangles.
