Week One
First full week back and we have had a great week of learning.
In Maths we have been looking at place value and the 4 calculations. We need to keep practising our timetables as much as we can!
In English we have started writing our first story all based on the learner profile and Mr Men. Ask the children which character they are! We will be making a large display of our writing and character once we are finished, we can't wait to show you.
In Science we are looking at the human body, we made human organs out of different materials and put them on our class skeleton. Next week we are looking at the heart and the circulatory system.
In topic we were investigating different artefacts from the Shang Dynasty. We asked lots of questions and next lesson we are going to research to find the answers.
In art we drew portraits of one another, we have some great artists in our class.
This week we also had the pleasure of reading and getting to know the Year 1 class, sharing our knowledge and kindness.
