Year Six Weekly Update
Monday Sept 25th - Friday 29th September
Review (This week)
English : We have started reading our class novel - The Firework Maker's Daughter. It is a very interesting story and we can't wait to find out what happens.
Maths : We have been looking at 2D shapes and working out the area and perimeter of different shapes.
Science : We have learnt all about the digestive system - we even created our own digestive system using humans and then sweets.
Other : We wrote diary entries from the point of view of someone from the Shang Dynasty.
Preview (Next week)
English : We will be finishing the book and we will begin researching for our own adventure stories.
Maths : We will begin looking at nets of 3D shapes and then move on to finding the volume.
Science : We will be looking at healthy eating and also making some healthy snacks.
Other : We will be creating a leaflet of information all about the traditions during the Shang Dynasty.
Homework : English and Maths every Friday. Reading every day. Thai writing.
Notices: Please could all children bring in a 3D shape, an empty box or carton will be perfect - the more unusual the better! Thank you.
