Year One Weekly Update
Monday 4th June - Friday 7th June
Review (This week)
English: This week we have been looking at different fantasy stories and the different characters.
Maths : We have been learning to create pictograms and bar charts and have collected and documented our own data.
Science: We have listened to a variety of different sounds and guessed what we thought the sound was. We also tried making some of these sounds ourselves.
Preview (Next week)
English: We will be creating our own characters and setting for a fantasy story.
Maths : We will be completing a variety of maths problems set for us by the people of Fantasy World
Science: We will be learning about the use of call and response in rainforest tribes and will be creating our own to investigate how far sound travels.

Notices:
Next week we have a very busy week ahead. On Wednesday 12th June it is International Day. Please send your child in wearing clothes from their country. Please also send them in with a coloured t-shirt. The children should know which colour they need to bring.
To celebrate the Thai Women's Football team, please send your child in wearing a football t-shirt on Friday.
