Week Eight

Year One Weekly Update

Monday 22nd October - Friday 26th October

Review (This week)

English : This week we have begun or new topic - Pirates! We have learnt the key words for our topic and have identified them using our phonics detective skills. We have labelled a picture of a pirate and have designed our own pirate characters.

Maths : This week in maths we have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. We have created different things using shapes and found objects in the classroom that are the same shape.

Science : We looked at the different parts of plants that we eat. For example, a root vegetable is a potato. We then designed our very own gardens using vegetables, flowers and trees.
