Week Two
Well done to Year 1! Lots of activities and lots of learning this week. We love painting and this week we read the story of The Snail and the Whale and did some painting. We also learned some facts about these interesting creatures!
We also enjoyed going to the computer lab to practice our counting and addition.
We went on a fun phonics run! it didn't take the children long to find their word and win the point!
Thank you to all parents who came to the Settling in Presentation on Wednesday. It was great to speak with you and your feedback is always welcome. Please be reminded that children can wear their P.E. uniform on Wednesdays for Dance and Thursdays for P.E. House shirts are to be worn on Fridays.
Parents are welcome to join us on Friday mornings for Family Friday. Have a great weekend!
Please note that from Monday, at the end of ECAs on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays, Year 1 children will return to their classroom to collect their belongings and be formally dismissed by me.
Next week we will be talking about the senses in Science. It would be great to create a sensory table in the Class room! If you would like to help with this . . . you could consider bringing in one or two of these items.
We went on an observation walk around our School and drew all the things we saw . .. .the swimming pool, basket ball court, football field and playground.
