Week One

I hope you all had a great holiday and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all back to school. Year 4 have made a very positive start to Term 1 and I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning ahead.

This week we have spent some time introducing and welcoming our new students with lots of fun ice breaker and getting to know each other, team building activities.

We have also started to introduce our first topic which is rivers of the world by recalling what geography facts we already know. In maths we also looked at Roman numerals and spent time ordering them, performing calculations and enjoying some fun interactive games.

Our students then created items for the Year 4 time capsule which will include a self portrait, postcard for their dream holiday, height bar chart and learner profile aims. This  will be put in our time capsule and buried in the garden at Tara Pattana until June 2019. Students will then reflect on the changes they have made from the start to the end of Year 4.

On Friday we went to the basketball court for a fun speaking and listening activity, where students took on the role of coach and set a programme for the rest of the class to follow.

Have a great weekend and thank you for your continued support.
