Week One

Welcome to Year 4!

It has been a fantastic week and a half getting to know year 4. They have settled back in very well and are earning class and house points from adults all over the school.

At TPIS we 'Expect the Best' of our pupils. In year 4 we have been discussing what that looks like through drama and discussion. The class have set a personal goal of something they would like to improve and thought about their preferred learning styles.

 mental Maths & problem solving!

We have been having lots of fun playing mental maths games after lunch! Here is a game that you can play at home. It focuses on place value and adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers mentally.

If you don't have any dice at home, you can find a virtual dice online.

Matthew's birthday party that turned into a science experiment!

We had a lovely time celebrating Matthew's birthday in the canteen. We loved experimenting with the dry ice and we even did a piece of writing about it!

We had a fantastic time reading to Year 1 (and looking at a caterpillar!).
