Awards Selection and Eligibility Disclaimer

The School of Medicine Awards Committee and its designated subcommittees reserve the right not to select a recipient for an award where nominations do not meet the established eligibility criteria or award requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, nominations that:

• Do not meet the eligibility criteria established for the award;

• Are incomplete and/or do not include the required nomination materials or supporting documentation;

• Are not submitted in accordance with the set nomination requirements or deadlines; or

• Do not provide sufficient evidence to support the nomination.

Nominees must be in good standing with the School of Medicine, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), and the nominees' respective associations/institution(s), as applicable. In addition to the established criteria for each award, the Awards Committee and relevant subcommittees may consider a nominee’s evaluations, scores, reviews, professional contributions, good standing and overall record when assessing nominations.

The Awards Committee and its subcommittees reserve the right to decline or not select a nominee where these considerations, individually or collectively, do not support selection for the award. 

Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection, and the Committee reserves the right not to name a recipient where no nomination sufficiently meets the established requirements and criteria.
