22 - 25/10 - Today we started with a couple of Kahoots talking about familia. Then we learned some words about pets and other animals. We watched a clip from Star Wars with some family words. If you need to make up work for this day, then you will need to get the notes then watch the movie clip. I have excused you from the Kahoot if you are excused on the roll. Today was worth 20 points.
23 - 30/10 - Today we learned about the verb "tener" and some of the phrases that go with "tener". We also looked at some words for Halloween. If you missed today, then you should get the notes and ask for clarification on what they mean. Today was worth 20 points.
24 - 1/11 - Today we discussed the Day of the Dead. If you missed today, go through the presentation and watch the videos. Today was worth 20 points.
We will be completing the Kahoot for this next time.
25 - 3/11 - Today we worked on the speaking assignment called Entrevista del Compañero. Students needed to communicate about different family members entirely in Spanish. This is a very hard assignment to make up. After we completed that, the students started drawing pictures for a Bingo game we will be playing later. If you need to make up this day, get the paper from Sr. Smith, then talk to 4 different people in Spanish asking them the questions about themselves and their family members. Then draw the pictures for the Bingo card. Today was worth 25 points. (10 points for the Entrevista del Compañero.)
26 - 7/11 - Today we worked on the Speaking assignment called Encuesta de la Clase (Class Survey). Students would ask other students in the class if they had family members with certain traits. Once we finished with that, we moved on to Loteria (Bingo). Today was worth 20 points (10 points for the Encuesta de la Clase.) If you need to make up the work for this day, you will need to get the paper from Sr. Smith of print it out from the link below then talk to everyone in class one day when Sr. Smith is doing personal interviews.
27 - 9/11 - Today we completed a couple of speaking activities. The first one was called "El Gusano". I give each student a question to ask all the others, then once they have asked all the students that question, then they go through and answer the questions that all the other students have. It's really a hard activity to make up. The second activity was to write five questions in Spanish and ask them to five other students. If you need to make up today, then you will need to write the five questions in Spanish and ask them to five different students. Then you will need to answer all the questions from the link below. Today was worth 20 points.
28 - 13/11 - Today we played Jeopardy to review for the test that will be on Wednesday. If you missed today, you will need to write the questions and answers on a sheet of paper or on your Jeopardy page. Today was worth 20 points.
29 - 15/11 - Today was the test for family. The link is now below. Please take a few minutes to complete the test if you haven´t. Today was worth 10 points.
30 - 17/11 - Today we worked on a worksheet to review while I interviewed some students on their speaking abilities. Today was worth 15 points. If you need to make up the work for today, get the worksheets from Sr. Smith to complete and turn in.
31 - 21/11 - We watched a movie while I interviewed more students. If you need to make up today, just watch a movie in Spanish and write down words that you understand. Today was worth 15 points.
32 - 27/11 - Today we went over the new vocabulary for things we like to do and other hobbies. We also went over the presentation assignment that will be taking place in January. Today was worth 20 points.
33 - 29/11 - Today we went over the notes for different sports and completed a Practica. Then the students started working on a rough draft for their family presentations while I called different students up to complete their personal interviews. If you need to make up the work for today, then write down the notes and start drawing out a rough draft of your presentation. Today was worth 20 points.
34 - 1/12 - Today I handed out the rubric for the family presentations. We completed the Entrevista del compañero speaking activity. Once we completed that, the students started drawing pictures for the Bingo de Gustos. If you missed today, then you will need to get the paper from Sr. Smith. You will need to speak to 4 different people and write down their answers to the questions. Remember the focus is on speaking the language in complete sentences. Today was worth 20 points.
35 - 5/12 - Today I was not in class. The preguntas importantes have to do with the substitute, but if you missed, just answer the questions about Sr. Smith. Also if you missed, then you will need to pick up the worksheets from Sr. Smith. Today was worth 15 points.
8th Hour - I worked on finishing interviews while the students completed the worksheet. Then we played Bingo the last 15 minutes.
36 - 7/12 - Today we completed an speaking activity called "Encuesta de la clase". If you missed today, then you will need to get the blue paper from Sr. Smith and compelte the assignment during some down time in class. We also played Bingo using words about things we like to do. Today was worth 20 points.
37 - 11/12 - Today we completed some speaking activities. If you need to make up the work for today, you will need to talk in Spanish with 5 different people in class and write down their responses. Today was worth 20 points.
38 - 13/12 - Today we played Jeopardy today to prepare for the test next time. If you need make up the work for today. You will need to write down the questions and answers for the Jeopardy. Today was worth 15 points.
39 - 15/12 - Today we took the test. After the test, the students were supposed to start working on their Familia Presentations. Today was worth 15 points.
40 - 19/12 - Today the students had time to work on their family presentations. Today was worth 15 points.
