About Me

Hi! I am Miss Williams and welcome to my website! I am excited for this school year and getting to know my students. As a teacher, I feel that it is not only important for my students to learn from me, but that I learn from them. I love learning and teaching!

Speaking of learning, let me tell you about myself. I am from a small town in Idaho (though some who know me say I also claim a small town in California). Along with Idaho and California, I have lived in Oregon, Nevada, and now Utah. In 2011, I graduated, with a bachelor's degree in English Education, from Brigham Young University-Idaho and began teaching high school English at Wendover High School. In 2012, I came to Clarke N. Johnsen Jr. High to teach Language Arts and have been here since then. During my time here, I have taught both 7th and 8th graders and Creative Writing.

When I am not at school teaching, I can usually be found reading a book, writing whatever story pops in my head, watching a movie/tv show, visiting my family, and doing various activities with friends. Bookstores, Fiiz, and the ocean are my kyrptonite.

I love teaching English and being able to teach students. Witnessing them grew in writing and discovering the worlds of the stories they read is a true joy for me. I want students to see they have potential and can create their own success.

So I hope that helps you get to know me a little and enjoy the school year!
